Smart Money Report · 2026 Q2
Where institutional money moved last quarter
A human read of SEC Form 13F filings for the quarter ended 2026-06-30 (filed through 2026-08-31): which stocks institutions accumulated, which they distributed, how broad the move was, and what to be skeptical about. Every figure is as filed; the judgments are ours.
The short version
Institutional money kept flowing in. Of 2,629 stocks with credible quarter-over-quarter mappings, 2,033 showed a net increase in reported institutional shares against 596 with a net decrease. Broad participation, not a narrow trade: gainers added an average of 25 net new reporting managers, distributors 17.
The biggest accumulation was in energy. Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc (SPCE) saw reported institutional shares rise +239.0%, roughly 40.2M shares, with 36 net new reporting managers. Destiny Tech100 Inc. (DXYZ) was next at +205.5%. Energy and AI infrastructure hardware dominate the top of the accumulation list this quarter.
AI infrastructure names kept gathering holders. Powell Industries, Inc. - Common Stock (POWL) added 109 net new reporting managers while reported shares rose +187.7%, and Editas Medicine, Inc. - Common Stock (EDIT) rose +132.1%. One caution we apply every quarter: percentage gains on recently listed names can be flattered by share-count mechanics, so treat them as directional, not precise.
The exits clustered in consumer names. The sharpest distribution was NANO-X IMAGING LTD - Ordinary Shares (NNOX), where reported institutional shares fell -46.0%, followed by Malibu Boats, Inc. - Common Stock (MBUU) at -32.7% and Rezolve AI PLC - Ordinary Shares (RZLV) at -31.5%.
Ownership kept widening. The largest expansion in reporting managers was Intel (INTC), up 1,009 managers to 3,556. When the manager count rises alongside the share count, the accumulation is broad based rather than one fund loading up; this quarter the two moved together on most of the accumulation list.
Remember what this is and is not. These are positions as of June 30, 2026, with the last filers reporting through August 31, 2026. Nobody is reporting today, and 13F covers long positions from managers above the SEC reporting threshold only. Shorts are invisible here. Read this report as a map of where institutional conviction sat at quarter end, not a signal to trade on now.
Biggest reported share accumulation
Ranked by reported quarter-over-quarter percentage change in institutional shares, from 2026-03-31 to 2026-06-30. Limited to stocks with credible mappings in both quarters, so mapping artifacts do not dominate the ranking. Click any ticker for its full ownership page.

In these cases the quarter-over-quarter comparison fails basic plausibility: the prior quarter's mapped base is near zero, or reported shares multiplied while the holder count barely moved, which points to a CUSIP or mapping revision rather than real accumulation. Their per-stock pages publish the figures as filed; this report excludes them from rankings rather than let artifacts drive the story.
Form 13F reports are quarterly holdings snapshots. Managers file up to about 45 days after quarter-end, so these figures describe reported positions as of the quarter-end date, not holdings today. 13F lists reportable long positions from managers above the SEC reporting threshold and omits short positions entirely. 13F lists reportable long positions from managers above the SEC reporting threshold and omits short positions entirely. Rankings use share movement because filed dollar values in this dataset cannot always be reconciled with issuer market caps; share counts are the cleaner signal. This report is informational only and is not investment advice.

Questions
What is Form 13F?
A quarterly filing in which institutional investment managers with more than $100 million in reportable securities disclose their long positions to the SEC. StockEyes aggregates these filings into per-stock institutional ownership totals.
Why is the report months behind the market?
Managers may file up to about 45 days after quarter end. The figures describe positions held at the quarter-end date, not holdings today. We publish the filing window on every table so the lag is explicit.
Why do you rank by share movement instead of dollar value?
Dollar values in the filings mix price movement with reporting noise, and some filed values in this dataset cannot be reconciled with issuer market caps. Share counts are the cleaner signal for whether institutions are accumulating or distributing.
Why are some percentage moves flagged instead of ranked?
When a stock's reported shares jump by multiples while its holder count barely moves, or the prior quarter's mapped base is near zero, the move usually reflects a CUSIP or mapping revision, not real buying. This quarter's flagged names: ACHV (+284.0% on a prior base of 81 mapped managers), AGEN (+54.7% on a prior base of 87 mapped managers), AGL (+6.5% on a prior base of 95 mapped managers), AIRS (+10.9% on a prior base of 88 mapped managers), AKTS (-2.9% on a prior base of 69 mapped managers), ALOY (+709.0% on a prior base of 49 mapped managers), AMBQ (+152.8% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), ARQ (+5.7% on a prior base of 95 mapped managers), ASND (+729.7% on a prior base of 8 mapped managers), ASYS (+51.4% on a prior base of 79 mapped managers), ATLO (+1.1% on a prior base of 88 mapped managers), AVTX (+132.4% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), AYA (+132688.6% on a prior base of 2 mapped managers), BCYC (-0.0% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), BELFA (+16.3% on a prior base of 95 mapped managers), BKNG (+2210.8% on a prior base of 1,889 mapped managers), BLLN (+34.7% on a prior base of 89 mapped managers), BRK-A (-43.0% on a prior base of 1,415 mapped managers), BWLP (+19.0% on a prior base of 96 mapped managers), CCL (+12182.0% on a prior base of 24 mapped managers), CFBK (+1.6% on a prior base of 90 mapped managers), CHMG (+7.6% on a prior base of 92 mapped managers), CLYM (+74.5% on a prior base of 80 mapped managers), COSO (-4.0% on a prior base of 82 mapped managers), CTEV (+9.4% on a prior base of 93 mapped managers), CTNM (-0.0% on a prior base of 90 mapped managers), CVNA (+391.3% on a prior base of 771 mapped managers), DMRA (+15.5% on a prior base of 65 mapped managers), ECO (+2.5% on a prior base of 93 mapped managers), EVMN (-0.4% on a prior base of 84 mapped managers), FENC (+0.7% on a prior base of 90 mapped managers), FF (+9.2% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), FOSL (+33.6% on a prior base of 90 mapped managers), IMMX (+107.6% on a prior base of 77 mapped managers), IMRX (+18.2% on a prior base of 94 mapped managers), INFU (+11.5% on a prior base of 96 mapped managers), IRD (+33.4% on a prior base of 79 mapped managers), KEEL (+1962564.7% on a prior base of 1 mapped managers), KLAC (+945.5% on a prior base of 2,049 mapped managers), KLTR (+6.2% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), KRRO (+17.8% on a prior base of 98 mapped managers), LAES (-65.3% on a prior base of 85 mapped managers), LBRX (+9.0% on a prior base of 77 mapped managers), LMRI (-1.6% on a prior base of 90 mapped managers), LODE (+23.7% on a prior base of 91 mapped managers), MANE (+30.8% on a prior base of 81 mapped managers), MMT (+180.1% on a prior base of 86 mapped managers), MNTN (+29.0% on a prior base of 93 mapped managers), MPLT (+5.9% on a prior base of 81 mapped managers), MPTI (+39.8% on a prior base of 96 mapped managers), MRAM (+6.3% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), NBXG (+1.7% on a prior base of 90 mapped managers), NEXA (-5.9% on a prior base of 65 mapped managers), NGNE (+2.0% on a prior base of 96 mapped managers), NUAI (+274.5% on a prior base of 83 mapped managers), OBE (+26.6% on a prior base of 98 mapped managers), OGC (+2052748.5% on a prior base of 2 mapped managers), OSS (+29.8% on a prior base of 76 mapped managers), PALI (+18.2% on a prior base of 96 mapped managers), PCB (+3.7% on a prior base of 91 mapped managers), PKOH (+12.7% on a prior base of 97 mapped managers), PLBC (+7.0% on a prior base of 94 mapped managers), PLSE (+37.9% on a prior base of 96 mapped managers), PLX (-13.1% on a prior base of 99 mapped managers), PTRN (+26.9% on a prior base of 86 mapped managers), PURR (+181.2% on a prior base of 87 mapped managers), RGCO (+2.4% on a prior base of 91 mapped managers), SENS (+138.0% on a prior base of 84 mapped managers), SGML (+9.0% on a prior base of 94 mapped managers), SGMT (+282.0% on a prior base of 87 mapped managers), SHAZ (+219.4% on a prior base of 29 mapped managers), SIDU (+229.0% on a prior base of 58 mapped managers), SLNH (+330.3% on a prior base of 44 mapped managers), STTK (+49.4% on a prior base of 84 mapped managers), SVCO (+19.3% on a prior base of 84 mapped managers), TENX (+39.9% on a prior base of 80 mapped managers), TRI (+60092.0% on a prior base of 3 mapped managers), TRLV (+20813.3% on a prior base of 6 mapped managers), TSAT (-1.7% on a prior base of 75 mapped managers), VELO (+86.1% on a prior base of 66 mapped managers), VEON (-6.3% on a prior base of 99 mapped managers), VGNT (+1767.4% on a prior base of 34 mapped managers), VOR (+22.0% on a prior base of 80 mapped managers), WLTH (-1.1% on a prior base of 99 mapped managers), WYFI (+2.4% on a prior base of 98 mapped managers). Is the Smart Money Report investment advice?
No. It is an informational reading of filed data. 13F shows long positions above a reporting threshold, omits shorts, and arrives late. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
